Job Title: Group Programme Manager


The Group Programme Manager is responsible for the management and development of learning programmes. You will lead and manage the successful expansion of programmes and related resources to ensure that programmes keep abreast of the latest occupational changes associated with the group companies. 

We are looking for an exceptional individual with extensive experience of working within education. The successful individual will evidence a commitment to learner centred learning through innovative programme development and wide-ranging knowledge of programme development. You will be wholly committed to the success and development of our organisation and will support our rapidly growing provision and organisational development.

  • Take responsibility for the creation of academic content and associated resources 
  • Ensure that all content is accurate, relevant and reflective of the course subject, academic theory and practise 
  • Work with the delivery teams and funding team to ensure our programmes meet the learning outcomes of regulated qualifications and funding eligibilities. 
  • To work with the respective delivery teams to improve the current programme range. 
  • Champion and lead the development of new and existing programmes including e-learning and related material(s), in line with Skills people Group strategy and processes 
  • Determine which resource best fits our clients’ needs, covering traditional material, e-learning and a blended option 
  • Identify opportunities where new programmes could support progression and identify where this can enhance the learner experience 
  • Identify, manage and work with specialist contractors and subject matter experts to ensure programmes and related tasks are completed to agreed deadlines and within budget. 
  • Ensure a high-quality learner experience fit for the target market to support high achievement of qualifications and support progression 
  • Manage the implementation of new and updated delivery models, curriculum and learning resources across the Group. 
  • Work closely with the Senior Management Team to decide programme offer and prioritise plans to create new programmes and develop existing resources 
  • Uphold and embed quality throughout all programmes to ensure standardised delivery throughout 
  • To attend conferences, webinars and workshops to ensure that they are at the forefront of new learning developments. 
  • Liaise with colleagues in the Group of companies to ensure they are informed of the progress of product development and to identify opportunities. 
  • To demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promote the safety and welfare of all stakeholders


  • Excellent relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders 
  • Creative ability to develop a market leading interactive learning programme 
  • Ability to write content for traditional and e-learning resources 
  • Demonstrate a strong background in the delivery of assessment for work-based learning programmes 
  • Be a skilled influencer 
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills 
  • Experience in the development of delivery models and learning resources 
  • Experience and thorough working knowledge of effective learning techniques 
  • Excellent ICT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages and experience of using learner management systems 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Able to follow processes 
  • Excellent time, people and resource management/organisational skills 
  • Demonstrable ability to work from own initiative and as part of a wider team 
  • Enthusiasm in the workplace


  • L5 in leadership and management 
  • Certificate in Education 
  • A minimum of A Level grade A-C in Maths and English 
  • Proven occupational competency within your curriculum area

  • Annual salary of £32K - £40K dependent on experience
