About this course

The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Associated Industrial Services Occupations – Fire Protection qualification has been developed for delivery in a working environment; this means you need to be employed to study this qualification. It has been designed to develop and recognise your skills, knowledge and competence so that you can work in Passive Fire Protection within the construction industry or progress onto further learning

The Rule of Combination (RoC) below specifies the combination of units to be achieved for the individual to be awarded the qualification.

Minimum credit value: 82

Total Qualification Time (TQT) for this qualification: An estimate of the total time it could reasonably be expected for a learner to achieve a qualification. TQT includes guided learning hours (GLH) plus an estimate of the time a learner is likely to spend in preparation, study or other learning activities as directed by but not under the immediate guidance of a lecturer, supervisor, or tutor.

Minimum Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for this qualification: 273

The time a learner spends in activities under the immediate guidance or supervision of a lecturer, supervisor, or tutor. This includes assessment if under supervision.

To achieve this qualification a minimum of 82 credits need to be attained. This comprises the 4 mandatory units plus 2 units from the following optional group.
